FIT Club at Boot Ranch

A Sanctuary for Health and Wellness

Texas’ finest private club community would not be complete without its own world-class fitness facility. Take a tour of FIT Club with our Director of Fitness, Michael Perkola, below.

For the past seven years, the Boot Ranch culinary experience has been curated by Executive Chef Casey McQueen.

Chef Casey studied at a culinary school in England before beginning his career in Washington D.C. There, he was an apprentice of James Beard Award-winning chef Ann Cashion. Reflecting on the apprenticeship, Chef Casey says “It was a great experience for me. I thought I knew how to cook until I went there.”

Our resident fitness expert: Michael Perkola

At the helm of FIT Club is our Director of Fitness, Michael Perkola. Michael has been working in fitness full-time since 2013 and is certified in yoga, personal training, corrective exercise, and medical exercise.

Michael’s extensive background in yoga, meditation, and personal training qualifies him to teach a wide variety of classes for our members. These classes include:

  • Strength Training – Using free weights and machines to build muscle.
  • Yoga – Practicing a mild yoga sequence sourced from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
  • Flexibility Training – Using a foam roller and stretches to relieve tension.

Michael’s classes and personal training services are helpful to Boot Ranch members of all ages and abilities. This includes seniors and those with medical conditions. In fact, Michael earned a certification as a Medical Exercise Specialist, enabling him to develop corrective and post-rehabilitative fitness plans.

He is deeply passionate about his goal for Boot Ranch members: To cultivate health, strength, and wisdom through physical and mental training.

“Boot Ranch provides a workplace with a beautiful environment (What a view!), a well-equipped gym, and friendly people interested in fitness.”
